Shri Sivasubramanian Ramann
Shri Sivasubramanian Ramann, belongs to 1991 batch of Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS). He joined as Chairman & Managing Director, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) from 19th April 2021. Before joining SIDBI, he was MD & CEO of National E-Governance Services Limited (NeSL) from December 2016. Prior to joining NeSL, Shri Ramann was the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Jharkhand, Ranchi during 2015-2016. He worked with SEBI as CGM and later Executive Director between 2007 & 2013.
He held various positions in the offices under the C&AG of India in various States and also worked as Executive Secretary to the C&AG of India. He worked as First Secretary, at Indian High Commission, London for auditing the accounts of various Indian Embassies in Europe. He is BA (Hons) Economics from St Stephens College and MBA from FMS, Delhi University. He has done M. Sc. in Regulations from London School of Economics and Certified Internal Auditor from IIA Florida. He completed LLB from Mumbai University and Post Graduate Diploma in Securities Law.
Shri V Satya Venkata Rao
Shri V. Satya Venkata Rao has more than 29 years of working experience in two All India Financial Institutions. He is a Post Graduate in Law with distinction of securing a Gold Medal from Andhra University in Masters of Law. He has handled several critical matters in areas such as Legal, Human Resource, Corporate Communications and also worked as Central Public Information Officer and Appellate Authority under the Right to Information Act. Shri Rao has participated in International Conferences in London and Beijing. He has also spent considerable time in the areas of legal matters with special emphasis on recovery through legal route and has been successful in resolution of huge NPAs. Shri Rao has functioned as a Nominee Director on the Boards of listed and non-listed Companies. He has also served as a Director on the Boards of Venture Capital Company, Real Estate Company and Societies registered under the Societies Registration Act.
Shri Sudatta Mandal
Shri Sudatta Mandal joined as Deputy Managing Director, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) on 3rd May 2021. Before joining SIDBI, he was the Chief General Manager & Chief Financial Officer of the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank). He has experience of more than 25 years across different verticals (Assets, Liabilities, Risk Management, Compliance and Strategy) in Exim Bank including more than 20 years of operational experience in International Trade and Investment Finance, Project Finance, SME lending including Cluster Finance, Trade Finance, and cross-border Development Finance. He is a B-Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specialization in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Shri Devendra Kumar Singh
Shri Devendra Kumar Singh, IAS, is currently Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner (MSME). He held a number of important assignments in the State of Kerala in different areas. Prior to joining Ministry of MSME, he was working as Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture) and Agriculture Production Commissioner. He also worked as Secretary (Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying) and was District Collector, Wayanad and Kollam, besides working in Department of Health.
While on Central deputation Shri Devendra Kumar Singh held important portfolios in the Ministry of Home Affairs (1999-2004) / Ministry of DONER. He was Additional Director General (Foreign Trade), Directorate General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi (2011-2016). During his stint in Directorate General of Foreign Trade, he has been assigned the work related to formulation of Foreign Trade Policy to enhance transparency, enhance e-governance, greater trade facilitation, digitization of processes from start to end of the process chain and working towards the concept of whole of Government of India in the foreign trade governance so as to achieve larger objective of bringing national interest in focus. He was also the Member Secretary of the Second Taskforce on Transaction Cost in Exports which is aimed to evolve a strategy towards reducing transaction cost in terms of specific problems for export and import.
Shri Devendra Kumar Singh worked as Chairman, APEDA (2017-July, 2018) where he focused on preparation of agricultural export policy, measures to open exports from North East Region and creation of export infrastructure.
Shri Pankaj Jain
Shri Pankaj Jain, an IAS officer of the 1990 batch, is currently Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce from where he has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce followed by an MBA from FMS Delhi. He also has a professional qualification in the discipline of accounting as an Associate of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
Shri Pankaj Jain has worked for the Governments of Assam and Meghalaya. This encompasses being District Magistrate at Shillong and Tura along with assignments in the Secretariat and State Corporations dealing with Power, Planning, Information Technology, Livelihood Promotion and Industries as well as being Director with the Government of India in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
His work experience also includes a three year stint with the British International Aid Agency - the Department for International Development (DFID) as Governance Adviser and Senior Program Manager. His areas of interest include Intellectual Property Rights where he has collaborated with UNIDO to develop an IPR guide for the Indian Toy Industry. He has also been a consultant to the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Asian Productivity Organisation on adoption of IT by small and medium enterprises in India and Bangladesh.
Shri G.K. Kansal
Shri G.K. Kansal is an ex-banker, retired as Chief General Manager from State Bank of India. He has rich experience of 36 years across all areas of banking viz, corporate credit, retail banking, risk management, rural banking, financial inclusion, customer service, etc. He has vast field experience as Regional Manager, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager. He also had a stint at the Bank’s London Office.
Shri V. Sathya Kumar
Shri V. Sathya Kumar, retired as Executive Director in Life Insurance Corporation of India, has vast experience in Life Insurance. His expertise lies in Life Insurance Marketing and Operations. He is experienced in Housing Finance and Senior Living Projects. Shri Sathya Kumar had a stint as Chief Executive Officer, LIC HFL Care Homes Ltd. He also headed the Management Development Centre of LIC, which trains middle and senior management executives of the Corporation. Having worked in senior positions in many parts of the country, he is known for his adaptability, team building skills and leadership qualities.
Shri L.R. Ramachandran
Mr. L R Ramachandran is working as Chief General Manager in the Department of Refinance of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Mumbai. He holds a Bachelors’ degree in Science, Masters in Bank Management and Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
He is having vast experience of over 35 years in various business, development and regulatory functions both in Head Office and Regional Offices of NABARD. His areas of specialization include Financial Management, Financial Product Structuring and New Business Development, Development Banking, Planning, Monitoring and Control under Credit Management, Rural Innovations, Micro Finance, Bank Supervision, Financial Inclusion and Banking Technology. He also has Board level experience in NABVENTURES, a subsidiary of NABARD.
Shri G. Gopalakrishna
Shri G. Gopalakrishna was the Director, Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning (CAFRAL) from 21st April 2014 to 20th April 2017. CAFRAL was set up by Reserve Bank of India to develop into a world class global institution for research and learning in banking and finance.
Before joining CAFRAL, he was Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Shri Gopalakrishna, a career Central Banker for over 33 years, mainly worked in the area of Banking and Non-Banking Regulation and Supervision.
He was the Chairman and Member of several Working Groups set up by the RBI/Government of India. During 2011, he Chaired the Working Group on Information Security, Electronic Banking Technology, Risk Management and Cyber Frauds, the recommendations of which have been implemented April 2011. The RBI guidelines has become benchmark standard for the Industry in information security, information audit, I.T. Governance and Cyber frauds. He authored the Central Credit Registry created by RBI in 2014 for reporting large value credits. In 2014 Shri Gopalakrishna Chaired the Committee constituted to examine the recommendations of FSLRC relating to Capacity Building in Banks and non-banks. The report has been accepted and implemented by the Reserve Bank of India
Shri Ashish Gupta
Shri Ashish Gupta, is the Managing Director and Head of India Research at the Credit Suisse Securities India Pvt. Ltd. He earlier served as the Portfolio Manager of Legatum Capital and also as an analyst in CLSA covering sectors like cement, banking and auto. Shri Gupta is regarded for his insights on the Indian Banking sector and has authored several marquee reports including the “House of Debt” series. He is instrumental in publishing the Corporate Health Tracker, which is actively followed across the banking sector.
Smt Nupur Garg
Ms. Garg has extensive experience spanning private equity investing, operations and finance roles with respected organizations like IFC (a part of the World Bank Group), Discovery Networks and PwC.
Ms. Garg has deep experience in the South Asia region, including structuring and implementing complex business transactions and partnerships in a variety of settings. Her professional journey has had a consistent entrepreneurial theme involving building of businesses and teams, and has allowed her to develop a wide range of technical and functional skills. Her areas of expertise include private equity, strategy, investments and finance, governance and operations.
Ms. Garg regularly speaks at key global and regional conferences and is featured in leading business and industry publications. She is an active member of the Executive Committee and the Limited Partner Council at the Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (IVCA), involved in industry development initiatives including developing and delivering trainings and workshops for domestic and other fund investors.
Ms. Garg holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management, has executive education from Harvard Business School and is a Chartered Accountant.
