30/11/24 Hon'ble Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman , visited the stalls showcasing the crafts of North Bihar, supported by SIDBI in collaboration with Ambpali Handloom & Handicraft Multi-State Cooperative Society Ltd. The stall featured an exhibition and sale of exquisite handicrafts from the Mithila region, including Madhubani paintings, sikki art, lac bangles, terra cotta, and sujni art, highlighting the vibrancy of the local craftsmanship. Other dignitaries present included Shri Samrat Choudhary , Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha , Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, along with Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), and Shri Manoj Mittal, Chairman & Managing Director, SIDBI

30/11/24 During the Credit Outreach Programme held in Madhubani, Bihar, the Hon'ble Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman , distributed cheques to launch an Artisan Development Program in collaboration with the PHIA Foundation. This initiative aims to benefit 300 local artisans by enhancing their skills in innovative and technical designs. Additionally, a cheque was presented in partnership with the WECS Association to support the establishment of "Pink Rooms" in five government-run girls' schools, promoting safe menstrual hygiene practices among students. Another cheque was issued to Sri Kanchi Shankar Netralaya, Madhubani, for the procurement of advanced eye-testing equipment.On the occasion, the dignitaries present were Shri Samrat Choudhary , Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, and Hon'ble Members of Parliament Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha , Shri Rampreet Mandal, Shri Ashok Kumar Yadav, and Shri Faiyaz Ahmad, accompanied by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Shri Manoj Mittal, Chairman & Managing Director, SIDBI, and Shri Shaji KV, Chairman, NABARD.

29/11/24 During the Credit Outreach Programme in Darbhanga, the Hon'ble Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman flagged off SIDBI supported 10 'Swavalamban Vehicles' under its CSR initiative. These innovative tricycles, designed as mini food processing units by StepUpify Labs Pvt. Ltd., an MSME led by an IIT Kharagpur alumnus, were provided to differently-abled individuals to promote self-reliance. The event was also graced by Shri Samrat Choudhary , Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha , Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Shri Gopal Jee Thakur , Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Shri M Nagaraju, Secretary, DFS, Shri Manoj Mittal, CMD, SIDBI and Shri Shaji KV, Chairman, NABARD.

25/11/24 SIDBI inaugurated its new branch office in Kanakapura, Karnataka, reaffirming its commitment to empowering MSMEs. The event was graced by Shri Sudatta Mandal, DMD, SIDBI, and attended by representatives from Harohalli Industries Association, Laghu Udyog Bharati, MSME entrepreneurs, and chartered accountants. During the ceremony, sanction letters were handed over to beneficiaries, highlighting SIDBI's dedication to addressing the financial and developmental needs of MSMEs.

21/11/24 SIDBI in collaboration with Ambpali Handloom and Handicraft Multi State Co-operative Society Ltd., recently inaugurated the "KARIGARI" project in New Delhi. The project, launched by Shri Prakash Kumar, DMD, SIDBI, in the presence of Shri Anil Kumar Pardan, Hon'ble Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, and other dignitaries, aims to empower and uplift many artisans through advanced skill training and design upgradation in terracotta and hand-embroidery. Additionally, the project will support these artisans in formalizing their businesses and establishing market linkages.

During the event, Shri Mittal emphasized the pivotal role of private credit in fostering economic growth and empowering emerging Indian enterprises. The address reaffirmed SIDBI’s steadfast focus on bolstering the private credit ecosystem in India.
