Institutionalization of gender within policy and operations of 26 PSIG partner institutions

FLWE initiative has found that gender-responsiveness of the credit delivery mechanism is crucial to ensuring gender outcomes. In-order to ensure gender responsive delivery of financial services it is crucial for MFI’s to adopt rights-based and gender-sensitive principles in the practice and functioning of institutions. Hence, a gender mainstreaming initiative with the MFI partners has been initiated by PSIG. This entails a comprehensive assessment of partners on crucial gender parameters, development of a gender action plan and provision of hand holding support for institutionalizing gender mainstreaming within these organizations.
