Starting his career in 1986 as an Agricultural Finance Officer in Central Bank of India, Shri Rai rose through ranks while heading various branches at different parts of the country for more than 17 years. On his elevation as General Manager, he was given the responsibility of heading Human resource Development Department. He was the Field General Manager of Mumbai Zone of Central Bank of India, when he was elevated to the post of Executive Director of Oriental Bank of Commerce. He is the Chairman of Union Bank of India (U.K.) Limited, Union Asset Management Company and Star Union Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Company Limited and Director on the Board of EXIM Bank and Oriental Insurance Company Limited. Earlier, he also served on the Board of Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Dr. Charan Singh is currently serving as the Non Executive Chairman of Punjab & Sind Bank. He was full time visiting faculty and former RBI Chair Professor (Dec 2012 to Dec 2016) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, India where he taught comparative monetary policy and policy issues in Indian economy. Earlier, he was a Senior Economist at the Independent Evaluation Office of the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC from August 2009 to November 2012 and Research Director (Departments: Economic Policy, Debt Management) at the Reserve Bank of India (1997–2009). Singh earned his doctorate in Economics from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He was a visiting scholar for more than a year each at Department of Economics, Harvard University and the Stanford Center for International Development, Stanford University. He is now serving as Director on the Board of National Housing Bank, Delhi and NABARD Financial Services Ltd, Bangalore. He is also Member, Governing Board at Policy Foundation, New Delhi; Member of Research Advisory Committee, BIRD, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development; Honorary Fellow, SKOCH Development Foundation; and Member of the Informal Advisory Group on Housing Sector Issues, IMF, Washington DC.

He served as Government Nominee Director of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., since September 9, 2015 until October 27, 2017. He has been a Director of Small Industries Development Bank of India since August 2017. He served as a Non-Executive Nominee Director of Bank of Baroda since November 25, 2014 until August 26, 2017. He served as Government Nominee Director of Union Bank of India since September 30, 2013 until November 25, 2014 and Andhra Bank from September 25, 2012 to October 4, 2013.

Alok Misra has 27 years of professional experience in international development, rural finance /microfinance /inclusive finance and research at both policy and implementation level. He started his career with India’s apex rural development bank (NABARD) in 1992, wherein his work spanned financial sector supervision, institutional development, microfinance, agricultural/rural finance and rural livelihoods /MSME finance. He was also part of multi institutional task force (2003-2004) responsible for setting up India’s first online demutualized commodities exchange (NCDEX). In 2008, he shifted to a global microfinance rating, policy analysis and technical advisory agency. As CEO, he has done extensive work on credit ratings, social ratings, portfolio audits, programme evaluations, risk diagnostics, advisory and country sector evaluations. Alok has worked across institutions in both developed and developing countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, Cameroon, Georgia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Netherlands, New Zealand, Rwanda, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Timor Leste, Uganda and Vietnam and supervised work across many other countries. In his long career, Alok has provided consulting services to various multinational agencies such as ADB, UNCDF, World Bank, IFC, IDLO, GIZ, SDC and Rabo bank. Currently, Alok Misra is Professor and Head, School of Public Policy & Governance at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon. Alok is a board member of MFIN, board member of Vaya Finserve, member of Inclusive Finance India Group of Advisors and member of Digital finance working group constituted by ITU, Geneva. Alok is closely associated with international initiatives like SPTF and Smart Campaign. Alok has written numerous articles and reports and for last two years he authored "Inclusive Finance India report". Alok Misra holds a PhD in Development Studies from Victoria university of Wellington, Master in Development Management (Gold Medallist) from Asian Institute of Management, Manila. Alok was awarded ADB-Government of Japan scholarship for MDM programme and NZAID scholarship for his PhD. He has been trained at Harvard Business School in "Strategic leadership for Microfinance" and was a Fellow, Fletcher Leadership Program for Financial Inclusion at Tufts University.

Professor M S Sriram is currently Visiting Faculty at IIM Bangalore. He is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute for Development of Research in Banking Technology – an institute set up by the Reserve Bank of India. Prior to this he was a Professor of Finance and Accounting at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Sriram has served as an expert on several expert committees: Task Force on revival of Rural Cooperative Credit Institutions [Vaidyanathan Committee]; Chaired the Expert Committee on Kerala Cooperative Bank; External Advisory Committee of the RBI for Small Finance Banks; and on the Financial Inclusion Advisory Committee. Sriram serves on multiple boards: NDDB Dairy Services, Indian Dairy Machinery Company, AU Small Finance Bank and Centre for Budget and Policy Studies. He used to be the Chief General Manager and later as Advisor to Canara Bank before joining Ananya. Besides having varied experience in the banking and finance domain, he has developed expertise in financing MFIs,MSMEs and the agricultural sector. He was responsible for developing the business of Rural and Semi Urban Business of the bank. The bank has achieved all the targets under the priority sector continuously for 5 years and Won the Best Bank Award under large public sector banks for Priority Sector Lending and Agricultural Lending consecutively. He has been the architect of rebuilding the Agriculture, Priority Sector Lending and Microfinance portfolio of the bank. Other important aspect is that he was instrumental in developing a comprehensive policy for financing Farmers Producer Organisation/ Companies, one of the very first bank to develop and start lending for FPCs. He was also closely involved in developing a Credit Guarantee Scheme for FPCs from SFAC of Govt of India. Silky Raheja is Head – SANKALP (A World Bank Initiative) and Planning at National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) a Public Private Partnership firm with 49% shareholder as Government of India through Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). At NSDC, she has managed large scale projects, up to $500 million, aimed at building institutional and training infrastructure capacity at the national level. Ms. Jayshree Vyas, a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant has been working as the Managing Director of Shree Mahila Sewa Sahakari Bank, Ahmedabad since 1986 which has more than 6,00,000 women clients. During her tenure she has taken active steps to introduce and operate an Integrated Micro Insurance Scheme for women working in the informal sector. This scheme was introduced for the first time in the country and in a short period of three years covered more than 150,000 women. She has also devised and implemented various housing finance schemes, which have been accessed by over 20,000 poor women. She has introduced, organized and managed savings groups of poor women in more than 5000 villages in nine districts of Gujarat. This scheme has helped more than 150,000 women start saving for the first time in their lives, and availed credit facilities for coming out of the vicious circle of Poverty. In addition, she has prepared modules and manuals for providing training for running effective saving and credit programs for various national voluntary organizations involved in similar activity.
